Billie Bound
The Billie Bound apple harvests in mid-October and will keep until March. It is a small to medium sized apple with a sweet smelling aroma.
Bismark
The Bismark apple is from New Zealand, harvests in mid-season, and is often confused with an Alexander apple. This apple is white in color with a pale green blush. It has an acidic flavor and cooks well.
Black Amish
The Black Amish apple originated in Eastern Kentucky and is dark purple in color.
Black Gilliflower
The Black Gilliflower is also known as the Black Sheepnose. It is estimated to have originated in Connecticut in the 18th century. Harvest time for the Black Gilliflower is in September and October. This apple is oblong in shape and the dark red color looks almost black. A very mild, yet sweet flavor.
Black Oxford
The Black Oxford comes from 1860's Maine and harvests in October with it being in season in November. This apple is round and purple with a black bloom.
Blackjon
The Blackjon apple was found in 1929 in Wenatachee, Washington, but it wasn't introduced to people until 1931. Bright red in color.
Blacktwig
The Blacktwig apple is from 1868 Arkansas and harvests late in the season. It is a large apple with green skin that flushes red. Very tart.
Blenheim
The Blenheim apples is also known as the Blenheim Orange, Rosy Blenheim, and the Woodstock Pippin. It comes from the Blenheim/Woodstock area of England as far back as 1740. Harvesting time is in October and it keeps until January. This apple is large, yellow and has reddish blush. A nutty flavor.
Blue Pearmain
The Blue Pearmain has been in existence since 1833, perhaps even earlier. It is in season from November to February and is a red color with a blue bloom. Mild, sweet, acidic flavor.
Blushing Golden
The Blushing Golden harvests in mid-October and is yellow with half of the apple covered with an orange-pink tint. It is resistant to buising and does not shrivel.
Boiken
The Boiken apple is from 1828 Germany and is in season from December to April. Medium in size, this apple is yellow with a red hue.
Bolero
The Bolero apple is from England and harvests in August. It is green in color with a yellow blush. This apple has a crisp, acidic taste.
Bonnie Best
The Bonnie Best apple is from Cooksville, Wisconsin and harvests in early October. It is quite large with a light red stripe. Keeps well.
Bonza
The Bonza apple is large, red, and resembles a Jonathan apple.
Bottle Greening
The Bottle Greening apple was a chance seedling that was discovered in the 1800's along the New York and Vermont border. It is in season from October to February and has a tough skin. However, it bruises easily.
