Choosing a Christmas tree can be hard particularly if you’re not aware of the specific type you desire. Nevertheless, many people choose to buy any sort of tree with the most important questions in mind. Is this tree tall enough for my home? Is the diameter too large for my room? However, some people might want a specific type of Christmas tree but don’t really know where they might be able to find it. Nor will they remember the confusing names that fail to exist in our minds. This article has 3 types of Christmas trees for you. These are:

• Arizona Cypress

• Colorado Blue Spruce

• Fraser Fir

1) Arizona Cypress!

The Arizona Cypress is a pale green and grey coloured tree shaped like a tower filled with plenty of green tiny leaves. The Cypress has been recorded to have reached trunk diameter of 3 feet and 80 feet in height.

Living conditions and uses:

The Cypress can be largely found in the Northern States. It can be located around West Texas, southwest Mexico, Southern Arizona, South California, Florida, Tennessee, Alabama and many more places. During winter months, it can tolerate hard cold snaps in the United States where temperatures can fall several degrees below freezing.

The Arizona Cypress is obviously used as a Christmas tree throughout America in the present age. Best places to buy and find the tree is in the southwest and along the east coast of the United States.

2) Colorado Blue Spruce!

The Colorado Blue Spruce is a tree used for Christmas all the way through the eastern board of America and Europe. It can reach a height of 65-115 feet and 2-3 feet in diameter once it grows into adulthood and can live as much as 800 years.

Living conditions and Uses:

The tree is a good survivor in a lot of shade. It grows best in deep, rich soils that are surrounded with plenty of moisture. The strong growing roots which can stretch very deep underground helps prevent the tree from falling over from unexpected situations.

Because of its symmetrical form, Blue Spruce is becoming ever more popular as a Christmas tree. Its attractive outward appearance leads many consumers to use the species for a pretty decorative display.

Apart from the being a popular Christmas choice, Blue Spruce isn’t really used for anything else but can be a beneficial cover for squirrels, rodents and birds. Naturally, the tree grows in locations where many cannot access which means that the wood is difficult to kindle. However, the wood can be used for fuel.

3) Fraser Fir!

Fraser Fir is a pyramid shaped tree reaching a height of around 80 feet and 1.5 feet in diameter with a strong appearance. They are dark green in colour and are as much as one inch long with a round base.

The Fraser Fir is a popular Christmas tree because of its form, needle retention, colour and pleasant smell. The majority of the trees are produced in North Carolina and take around 6-10 years to grow 6-7 feet high.

Living conditions and uses:

The tree naturally grows above 4,500 feet around some of the mountains across southwest Virginia and western North Carolina. The highest point of growth is located around Mount Mitchell in North Carolina which is 6,684 feet.

Fraser Fir has soft and brittle wood which can be used for pulpwood, interior knotty panelling and light frame construction. The wood has often been used for bed stuffing as well.
