1. Viggo Mortensen- A Perfect Murder

You might argue that he is not a villain, but Michael Douglas is. People, he agreed to murder his girlfriend for money. Both Douglas and Mortensen are villains. Here’s what happens:

Young, beautiful and unhappily married Emily (Gwyneth Paltrow) is cheating on her older and rich husband Steven (Michael Douglas) with the broke but young and handsome artist David (Viggo Mortensen). When Douglas finds out, he comes up with the plan for a perfect murder. He blackmails David so that he will kill her. But when David unexpectedly fails, it will be up to Steven to try and get rid of them both. This is a remake of Alfred Hitchcock’s Dial M for Murder.

2. Tom Cruise- Collateral

Vincent (Tom Cruise) is a contracted killer who gets on Max (Jamie Foxx)’s cab one night and starts stopping by at his targets. When Max realizes what he is up to, will he be able to save some of them or at least, himself?

3. Kevin Bacon - The River Wild

An attempt at an exciting river journey gets interrupted when villains take over, led by Kevin Bacon. This is a movie better enjoyed at the movies and big TV screens due to its cinematography. Note that Kevin Bacon actually started out his career as a good guy, starring in the hit teen/dancing movie Footloose. However he never gained a star status until he started playing the villains.

4. Kevin Costner - Mr. Brooks

Kevin Costner played grey characters before, most notably in A Perfect World where he played a convict who runs away from prison with another inmate, taking a young boy as hostage but ending up killing the other inmate to save the boy’s life.

However, he plays the title character Earl Brooks in Mr. Brooks and his character isn’t nice to strangers. He is hooked on killing random strangers. He leads a happy family life and is a wealthy and respected businessman but his murder addiction is unknown to both his family and co-workers. And you thought your boss was bad?

5. Xavier Samuel – The Twilight Saga: Eclipse

Xavier Samuel spends his first five seconds or so in this film as a regular guy. However he gets bitten and turned into a vampire. The he becomes the ultimate villain, helping create a vicious vampire army. He also tries to kill Bella and Edward, two of the stories protagonists.
