For most guys, what you see is what you get says a book author.  During the first stages of relationship: getting-to-know-you, courtship, early dating, a guy may put his best foot forward just to win the girl of his dreams,  The good news is, even if  this is the case, you can still tell what that guy is really like, by observing a lot of other things about him, that he won't probably suspect you are paying attention to.

Find the perfect guy.  A book author of "How Could You Do This To Me" cites some of those:

• A guy who has an untidy and disorderly place is not always a slob.  Most probably, he is the hardworking, busy type who feels that there are more important things to attend to, rather than cleaning his place.  He may be comfortable type who has a sense of humor, the fun and carefree.
• Guys who seem so obsessed  with cleanliness and order.  Guys who iron even their undies may be hiding something.  There could be something obnoxious about him, his family or what he's doing, and he's afraid you might discover that!
• Long haired guys.  Guys who sport long hair and don't even bother to keep it presentable, are no-no guys.  They are usually lawbreakers,  They hate conforming to order and law.
• Guys who keep everything in a pile.  T-shirts, magazines, receipts, cassette tapes, etc. are the type who value things in the past.  They could be loyal lovers.  They don't readily throw things away.
• Wearing baseball cap.  Are casual guys or balding guys who can't accept that truth!
• Carrying a cell phones pager.  When it can fit into a pocket, clutch bag or attached case, is a sign of attracting attention.  He is vain if he flaunts it with his hands.  He could be using those gadgets in a different way than just a means of communication.
• A guy who practically wears gold rings, god bracelet.  A guy who wear rings on every finger is not only cheap; he is a show off.  He is vain.
• Contrasting manner of dressing.  He wears exquisite business suits but at there same time, brings a knapsack, shows that the guy is very self-confident.  He conforms only up to a certain degree; he has a strong sense of self-identity.  This type of guy is usually one who works hard for his money and enjoys it.
•  Men in shades.  Guys who wear their shades inside buildings, loves attention.  It's their way of asking people to notice them.  Such a guy may be insecure at the same time, thus, he puts a barrier between him and the other people around.  He feels uncomfortable with eye contact.
• A guy who leans in his chair.   He is open to whatever comes his way.  He is comfortable with himself.  He is fun to be with.
• Guys who flaunt their money.  He may be the insecure type who think that they can buy attention with money.  Warning:  Guys who always bring a lot of cash but who claim to have nonpermanent source of income are obviously questionable and therefore, dangerous.  Where do they get the money says a book author.
• Bicycle men.  Some guys who use their bike as a room decor.  They hang it against the wall or even from the ceiling.  According to psychologist, these men may be afraid of commitment, thus, they are always "ready to be on the go."
•  Computer guy.  A crazy computer guy is probably one who doesn't socialize a lot.  He'd rather stay locked up in his room talking to the computer screen.
•  Watch what he wears.  Is he sporty?  He is carefree and loves the outdoors, challenges and achievements.  Formal?  He is serious, goal oriented, and mature.  Expensive?  He has a taste or could be vein.  Handed down as heirloom from his grandpa?  He values tradition and family ties,  Have a Donald Duck Strap?  He is probably child-like and fun to be with.
