Netherlands or commonly called "Holland" is located at North-West Europe with Amsterdam, as its capital.  The home of famous painters, Rembrandt van Rij and Vincent van Gogh. Madurodam, a Miniature City is officially opened on July 2, 1952 at the Scheveningen, The Hague in the Netherlands. Since then it has been a favorite attraction in the country of millions of local and international visitors. It was named after George Maduro, who died in a military 1945 battle against the German troops. His parents donated funds for the project of this amusement in honor of him.

It is the model village of the Dutch town of Netherlands. Experience Dutch scenery with its canal houses in Amsterdam, windmills, Alkmaar cheese market, Amsterdam Airport Schiphol, typical Dutch buildings and landmarks replicated in a 1:25 scale miniature way.

It is the counterpart  of Godshill Model Village Miniature Garden located at Isle of Wight, England.

Inside Madurodam, typical Dutch buildings. Netherlands is known for great Architectural designs either on house or buildings.

Dutch Canals, famous are Amsterdam and Delft Canals.

Madurodam manufactured their own models,trains, railways, and other decorations.  Each models are  carefully done base on Architectural drawings and  actual places or landmarks are previously photographed in detail to come up with a replica.   The city is continuously developing and adding more attractions for the visitors.

A portion of the annual revenue is being donated with charitable causes with its Madurodam Support Fund Society which supports non-profit organizations either on Netherlands or abroad that focuses activities benefitting  young people.

Madurodam is open year round except for scheduled holiday, with opening time between 9:00 - 20:00.  Aside from the miniature experience, special activities or exhibitions are being organized regularly tailored for family fun and excitement.
