The different areas of our life- mind, heart and soul- just like our body, need nourishment. If you think you've been neglecting them, here are few tips from two renowned authors to help you get the balance you need.
Body
- Eat breakfast
- Start an exercise program today and do it faithfully for thirty days. Walk, run, swim, bike, lift weights, and roller blade. Choose something you really enjoy.
- Give up a bad habit for a week. Go without alcohol, chocolate, soda, fried foods, donuts, meat or whatever else may be hurting your body. See how you feel, a week later.

- Read a newspaper everyday. Pay special attention to the headline stories and the opinion page.
- Subscribe to a magazine that has some educational value, such as National Geographic.
- Visit a museum or eat at an ethnic restaurant you've never been to before, the next time you go on a date.

- See a movie, go shopping, get an ice cream. Go on a one-on-one outing with a family member like your mom or your brother.
- Begin today to build your humor collection. Buy hilarious movie tapes, or start your own collection of great jokes. In no time, you'll have something to occupy yourself when you're feeling stressed.

- Get up early to watch the sunrise or watch the sunset tonight.
- Start keeping journal today if you haven't already done it.
- Take time to meditate, reflect upon your life or pray.
What is stress
Stress can always cause body pains that can wreak havoc on a person's physical, as well as mental and psychological well-being. Fortunately stress can be controlled. According to a renowned author the following tips can help you some stress coping and relieve various pains that go with it:
1) Workout
Physical exercises and aerobic can do a lot for your body and mind. They need not be strenuous. Running, ,jogging, walking, swimming or biking for twenty to thirty minutes every other day is more than enough to prime your body against muscle pain, fatigue, neck pains and especially headache.
2) Take time out
Do something relaxing to avoid headaches and back pains brought about by muscles tension by setting fifteen minutes a day to do something relaxing. One of the earliest and most effective exercise is visualization- imagining you are in a pleasant and relaxing place, and playing the scene in your mind for about five minutes.
3) Laugh
Don't take everything so seriously, lighten up. Have a sense of humor. Laugh, it can be the best medicine, especially against muscle pains and headache.
4) Eliminate clutter in your life.
Try to eliminate clutter in your life. Clutter is a source of stress-related headaches and muscle tension. Avoid clutter in your home. Our home whether small or big, elegant or simple can be a holistic haven where we can relax our drained bodies, calm our nerves, ease our minds, and lift up our spirits.
