James Marsden was already covered and James Dean is too dead and famous for this list. So here are three other “James” s you are probably familiar with:

James Marsters

James Marsters had some decent stage credits under his belt already but most of got to know him through his role in Buffy the Vampire Slayer (1997-2003). He played Spike, a vampire who owed his vampire existence to David Boreanaz’ Angel. He gained a decent fan base as a recurring villain and he got to be the lead actor after soldier Riley (Mark Blucas) left Buffy.

James Marsters’ trademark as Spike was leather pants, bleached blond hair and a British accent. He resembled the famous punk rocker Billy Idol and this was joked about in one of the Buffy episodes. Since Spike became a vampire long before Idol was born, it was suggested that it was Idol who had adapted Spike’s style.

After Buffy ended, Marsters also transferred to the cast of Angel.

James Marsters did a great job as Spike, also due to his uncanny ability to fake a British accent, leading many of the fans to believe he was English. Marsters however is American. He was born in 1962 , in Greenville California and was raised in the States.

He stands at 5' 9½" (1.77 m).

You can catch James Marsters in the pilot episode of the new Hawaii-Five 0 series starring Alex O’Loughlin.

James’ movie credits include P.S. I Love You starring Gerard Butler, Hillary Swank and Jeffrey Dean Morgan. His TV credits feature Smallville, Caprica, Torchwood & Without a Trace.
