I-9 Work Authorization

Updated January 4, 2012

Americans can not conceal their true identity that makes them a worker the hiring company would reject adding to their workforce. All persons must prove they are authorized to work by filling out an I-9.

The work status of each person who is not a citizen of the United States is known by using the same form I-9.

No Unprofessional Hiring

Employers have to always stay committed to their sworn pledge to keep the country American and uncorrupted. They keep their hands clean by choosing workers to hire for employment in the United States only after they have spent the time needed to check that they are fit to work. Their plain knowledge they get on a job applicant by using the I-9 Form before they hire makes sure the right persons have a fair opportunity to get the job.

Nobody's Fool

The hiring business associate stands between a job seeker and the work position. A real worker is all they may accept for the job. False statements on names, immigration status, and work authorizations made during a meeting between the associate and the applicant on completing the I-9 check end the job opportunities for the fraud or the cheat. Getting a basic profile on a worker prevents any foolish hiring act.

Taking on the Role of Employee

Good job applicants are willing to fill out the I-9 so their employer can carefully check their work status. The form is filled out at the time they are hired. Their name and statement on their status that makes them fit to work is officially verified after their employer looks over the proof of identity and work authorization and fills out their part of the form within 3 days of the employee's work start. A simple passport with photograph or a drivers license and a social security card keeps hiring fool proof. If the applicant is an immigrant alien, a permanent resident card (green card) or alien registration card is all the employer has to take a look at and check. Undocumented aliens and immigrants without work authorizations can turn back and decide to not ask for a job, or get caught.

The Hiring Paper

The short I-9 Form is a formal safeguard that is enough of a test to turn away frauds and cheats, and clear good citizens and workers for employment. The signed paper goes on record as one of the basic records the company keeps in their employee's file.
