NOT A DIET. Let’s get one thing straight, this is not a weight loss diet program there are no magic pills to eat or miracle drinks to consume just plain common sense, first you need to know a few facts.

We all need food and drink to live and depending on our sex, age, height and our daily exercise level, determines how much we should eat to maintain your weight, then it’s a simple matter of taken in less then we need to lose weight.

THE AVERAGE WOMAN NEEDS 2000 CALORIES A DAY

So first find your ideal weight, this link will allow you to download to Excel a free Ideal Weight Calculator www.brianmac.co.uk/excel/idealw.xls

The average adult woman needs around 2000 calories a day and for a man 2500 the recommended daily calorie intake is different for children, pregnant women and older people. If you come into this group see your GP for advice.

So if you eat less than you need you will lose weight, depending how much ‘stored’ body fat you have determines how quickly you loose weight, exercising and or the type of job you do, will also affect the speed of loss.

EXERCISE IS VERY IMPORTANT

I can’t stress enough how important exercise is so don’t just eat less, combine it with a daily exercise regime another important factor is whether you smoke or drink try not drinking in the week and restrict it just to the weekend, you will feel better in the mornings and the health benefits are enormous.
