How Long Does It Take To Make Money Online?

Some people ask me: "how long does it take to make money online?". Actually nobody really asks me that, but it's a good start to an article.

I noticed that I was getting a five dollar activity bonus per article here on Factoidz, so I thought I'd make the most of it by writing a whole bunch of articles really quickly.

It's not all that hard to make money online if you can write well, you can do it right here on this site. You can write product reviews, or just regular articles like this.

Generally, you do make more if you have your own site, but you need to know what you're doing, and there's a lot to it. It takes years of hard work to learn keyword research and SEO, social media marketing, pay per click advertising, and all of those things.

99% of websites fail to make much money, and most people who try end up giving up, unless they have a lot of spare time, or a passion for writing about a particular subject.

I remember when I first started writing articles about three years ago. I started out at one cent a day. I only kept doing it because I had nothing better to do, and I liked expressing my opinions with the world.

I had an interest in science, like the origins of the universe, and the theories behind it. I wrote about what I knew, and gradually, I began to learn more about making money online by reading other people's articles.

After one year, I was making one dollar a day, after writing one article every day for the whole year. I thought, hey that's alright, if I write a bit faster, and learn a bit more about SEO, maybe I'll make ten dollars a day in a few years.

I saw it as a game. That's the important thing to understand here, I was trying to make money online, but I wasn't obsessed with the money, I liked writing, and having people read what I wrote.

Does It Take That Long To Make Money Online?

It's been three years now, and I have a site of my own. I sell social media marketing services, like Facebook welcome pages, You Tube videos, likes, followers, and stuff like that. I'm a level two seller on Fiverr, and I write here when I get the chance.

That's what I'm doing, and I'm making about twenty dollars a day. That might not sound like a lot, but what you have to realize is that much of that is residual income, which means that I pretty much make the money whether I do much work or not.

It's not my only source of income, and that twenty dollars a day actually doubles my disposable income, (the money I have left after I pay all my bills).

My website is on the first page of some medium competition Google searches, like Facebook page likes, and with some of the other pages, I just need to keep making links to them to push them up to first on the first page, and that could possibly double or triple my income, even within a few months.

As I said, after the first year, I had built it up to a dollar a day, after the second year, I had built it up to five dollars a day, then the third year, it's twenty dollars a day, and I expect that at the end of my fourth year, I should be making a hundred dollars a day if I work hard, and put all of the knowledge I've learned into practice.

The thing is, if I even make half of that, I'll have a combined income of as much as a bank employee. If I make all of that, I'll be as rich as a doctor or a lawyer, and based on the trends, I'll eventually be rich enough to retire at forty and go travel the world.

Does that sound overly hopeful? No, that's just what the trend suggests. Most people who have stuck at trying to make money online for ten years are that rich.

Talk to some of the people on the Warrior forum, and read the threads, there are some real success stories, and all it takes is persistence, and an ability to learn. It does take money to make money online to an extent, but it's not all that hard to make money for free, on a site like this one.

I've gone way over the 400 word minimum now, time to cash in my five bucks. I also get paid for you reading this as well. How long does it take to make money online? I just made about five dolllars straight up, and five dollars over the next few years in half an hour, maybe forty five minutes, but I can do a lot better than that.
