After writing a great many articles on other sites I have found that the trick when it concerns keywords is to have at least 6-8 solid keywords, least your article will end up on the back pages of every search engine there is, inevitably doing a massive flop. This happens especially if there are too many keywords that are not relevant or there are too few.
In order to be placed on the front pages of the search engines and drive traffic to your article, it is essential you find the best and most relevant key words suitable for you article and a great place to do this is by looking into the Google AdWords keyword tool. Admittedly I have to say that by using the Google AdWords/Keyword tool it has helped my articles dramatically, increasing the overall page performance.
Google AdWords/ Keyword tool not only enables you to find the best keywords but it also helps you to find the most searched words relevant to your article, allowing you to see what others are searching for by the millions. For example if you type history it will bring up everything relevant to history as a keyword and show you what words are the most sought after. When trying to market an article keywords really are a big factor when wanting it to be successful.
Try to use words that are the most sought after. This tool will bring words up by the thousands, however; if you add words that are being searched for by the millions or the high thousands it will increase your overall page views. This tool is very easy to use and is a great marketing tool for any writer. You can find AdWords at this address:
Something else to add to your article to get more hits is a great name! Find out what people are searching for and try to incorporate this into your title. Again Google keywords can help with this. I also find this tool helps me to create better titles as it gives me more ideas
When published, you can track your article with Google alerts. This allows you to find out how your article is preforming and after tracking it for a few days, if it is not up to your standards, you can then revise. This tool will allow you to get email alerts on a daily basis with whatever you are tracking and it is very easy to use. This is yet another great tool by Google for writers . You can find Google Alerts at this address:
