Include your Child when you are Deciding the Everyday Menu

Get your child interested in meal planning and also the process of cooking; this helps children develop good eating habits. Put forth an assortment of fruits and vegetables, and let him select what he wants to eat. Children love to feel important, and are very pleased to know that they have a say in home matters.

Start When They Are Still Very Young

Rewarding kids with food is unsuitable. When you use food as a reward, or to demonstrate approval and appreciation, children start to use food to tackle stress and emotional disturbances. Admiration, hugs and attention must be given in place of food treats.

Ensure that your Kid Stays Active

Make sure that children are always active. Decrease the time that is spent in front of the television or at the computer. Prevent them from becoming couch-potatoes. This prevents mechanical snacking and promotes activity.
