Minimum space calls for maximum design ingenuity.  Here are some bedroom tricks that you can adopt to make the smallest bedroom look bigger from a great designer.

Element of color.  Color is a key element in a room design.  It is more important to be guided by your own personal favorites than to be swayed by current trends when selecting a color scheme for your bedroom.  Light is the operative word for small rooms. This includes light colors on the walls, floors, ceilings, furniture, windows, and doors.  Light colors tend to make a space appear larger than it really is.  For a more expansive feeling, ceilings are often painted white.  Furthermore, a high ceilings or walls in a large bedroom, can be painted a darker color to make the bedroom look smaller and more cozy.  Remember monotones do not have to be monotonous!  You can cleverly mix subtle shades from the same color palette.
