Who says staying home is boring? Experts say try pleasurable ideas right in your very own home:
Go clean. According to skin expert clean your skin the right way. You must remember that a good cleanser must fit your age, lifestyle, and skin type. For dry skin, go for the moisturizing facial washes and do not use soaps, as these will most likely dry out your skin. If you have an oily skin, go for anti-bacterial or oil-free products, as bacteria thrives in oil and dirt. For normal skin, scrubs should be done only once a week, for those with oily skin, three times a week will do. Take note not to scrub everyday, for this might damage your skin.
Give yourself a manicure and pedicure. You may also try different colors to your nails that suit your taste.
Try a new makeup and hairstyle. Since you're not going out, it's fun to try new looks with the latest make-up colors and hair accessories in the supermarket today. Try to color your hair with one of the latest home coloring from say, splash or wella.
Clean your hair tools and makeup. Your cosmetic brushes may be clean by soaking it in warm water and try to brush the bristles to get rid of hair.
Clean your closet too. Since you are in a cleaning mood; set three boxes with different classifications- throw away, keep and give to charity. Consider each piece whether which box it will go as you rummage through your closets.
Clean your makeup box. Get rid of spoiled items like expired mascara, lipsticks which you no longer use and others of no use at all.
Clean your medicine cabinet. Labels those plastic containers and bottles for different problems like vitamins, headaches, hypertension, for diabetes and so on...
Small things are important. Pay attention to them since it saves time and trouble. Have a list, or put in a safe place that gives the number of your credit cards, bank savings account, your driver's license, SSS card and others.
Listen to music. A recent US study showed that listening to music is an effective way to improve energy. It shows that rhythmic music especially the toe-tapping variety, makes people move or at least imagine moving, and possibly reduces energy-sapping muscle tension.
Put trash where it belongs. There is literally a proper place for everything.
You also help in breaking this habit of just throwing garbage anywhere. Before you finally decide to throw something away, you should first ask yourself if it's a recyclable material or not. Among those that are presently recycled on a large scale are paper products like newspapers and magazines, metals including aluminum beverage cans, all glass bottles, and some types of plastics. Junks or people who regularly make the rounds of your neighborhood would be happy to buy these materials for you. You can use the money you earn say to buy snacks for kids.
