Picture the man in your life in one corner, wanting, needing, waiting for you.  What to give him in return?  Sure, you would say that you given him your heart.  But we are talking about something material sweetie!  Not just material gift but something that will touch the heart.  There are other little things that are just as romantic.  According to the author of "Very Romantic Ideas" you can try some of these:

Snare a surprise.  Gifts don't have to be grand gestures to be romantic.  Little things like picking up her favorite flavor of ice cream, or taping his favorite television show when she's working late are the real stuff of romance.  Bring home present and not just on your partner's birthday.  Little things, wrapped, get big results.  It has always been that way and it always will.

Get a flirting fix.  Most of you believe that you can turn off your smoldering glances and lingering touches as soon as you commit to a relationship.  Studies show that flirting shows that you are still attracted to your partner.

Say it with flowers.  Use the language of flowers to express your feelings, including affection, strength, joy and admiration. (For men only).  Give her flowers, especially when you are not trying to  get her to forgive you for something.  And anyway, when was the last time you brought her flowers?

Be generous with compliments.  Stress from your busy lifestyle can make you snap; so make sure you are dishing more sweet talk than criticisms.  Research has shown that couples in long-lasting  relationship say five positive things to one another for every negative comment.

Wear perfume.  Have you ever walked down a busy street and caught a whiff of someone wearing your ex's cologne or perfume and felt instantly transported back in time when you were together?

Teach a few new tricks.  Use your own expertise and show your partner how to do something they don't know.  Like to pick out a good red wine, or how to balance on a roller blade.  You are almost always impressed when someone teaches you something useful and new.  Not only will your partner appreciate picking up a new skill, he or she will remember who they have to thank for it every time they use it!

Balloon-bursting.  On small slips of paper write down about 10 reasons why you adore her.  Roll the messages and slip them into an oversized, inflated balloon.  Present her with a pin, and instruct her to burst your balloon.

Hostage crises.  Create a sexy ransom note.  Example: "Come to the bedroom right now- or you will never experience how good my warm mouth feels around your tongue!"  Post the note on your front door.  Make him your sweet hostage in bed.

Give him personalized mug.  Even if he's a corporate man or a free-lancer, he could always find use or a mug that has his first name written over it.  You know why?  It tells of ownership.  Many people are sort of unsure about giving a mug as a gift.  If they only knew how much many men value it.

An exotic pet.  The more exotic, the better like iguanas and snake.  But the problem with this, many of these exotic animals remain on endangered species list and if your source us actually an illegal one, you may be giving away a banned gift.

Leave a love trail.  Create a sweet and fragrant  trail by leaving small candles chocolates, flowers, love notes- from the door to where you'll be waiting.  This will set the mood and create a sense of excitement.  Include romantic appetizer by sharing dinner painstakingly prepared by your own hands.
