Men and women are equipped with several places on the body that produce sexual feelings when touched or otherwise stimulated.

These places, or “zones”, are known as erogenous zones. Every person who can feel and react to external stimuli has a set of erogenous zones. Some zones can produce immensely strong sexual allures, whereas other zones simply make a person a bit more susceptible to sexual activity.

Men and women share a lot of the same erogenous zones, but also differ greatly in the areas that have the most sensitivity. If one sexual partner is looking to stimulate the other person, it is very helpful and important to know the most sensitive areas to produce the most desired results.

Here are some common zones for women outside of the pubic area:

1. Breasts – Women’s breasts are often a focal point in sexual relationships to begin with, but what many men don’t know is that touching a woman’s breasts just right can be extremely arousing for the woman. There are nerves from the breasts that connect directly to the same nerves in the woman’s genital area, allowing for small orgasms to be experienced by touching the breasts alone.

2. Inner Thighs – Touching a woman’s inner thighs can be absolutely delectable torture for the woman. It can wildly heighten her anticipation for full-on sexual contact, making it easier for her to experience pleasure and orgasms once the sexual activity begins. Caressing, massaging, and tickling a woman’s inner thighs can be produce wonderful results.

3. Neck/Collar Bone – Some women like rough contact, while other women enjoy gentle kissing and caressing. Whatever the preference, most women love the warm contact of lips or fingers on their neck and/or collar bone. The touch can be soothing or electrifying, sure to get most women “in the mood”.

Here are some common zones for men outside of the pubic area:

1. Ears – Many lists of erogenous zones say that women are more perceptive to ear contact than men, but men have also been found to react generously to some warm breath on the ear. Biting the ear lobe, licking, and breathing on the ear have all been found to arouse men.

2. Scalp – The scalp is filled with nerves. Running hands through a boyfriend’s hair can make him feel tingly and excited. Give it a try by gently massaging his scalp.

3. Lips – Both men and women’s lips are filled with nerves that can stimulate sexual feelings. Teasing a man by gently sliding your tongue over his lips, nibbling softly, or by simply kissing can be a huge turn-on.

Erogenous zones are extremely important during foreplay and when maximizing the pleasure that a partner feels. If you would like to learn more about erogenous zones, try the following links:
