How to Get Rid of Acne
Many teenagers every year go through the process of growing up. Many of them may feel excited and motivated to move on and mature in life. However, a common problem during the growing period that teenagers face is the huge number of acne spots that invade their face for several years. For some, the problem of acne could last into their adulthood. It can take quite a bit of work to get rid of these horrendous occurrences. Some might even want to get rid of them for beauty and relationship reasons. Let’s read below to find out how to get rid of acne.
1) Regular washing routine!
Regular face washes would help in reducing acne. A wash with warm water every morning and night with soap will keep the skin healthy and clean. Some people may have already noticed that everyday face wash with soap can make acne worse. If you have also noticed this happening, use soap every once a week though you can clean your face every day. Don’t use rasps and iron wool as it will damage your skin and cause further spots to grow. Gently wash your face with a soft cloth and dry with a clean towel.
2) Get rid of oily makeup and hair!
The most common reason for spots is caused by blocked pores due to a build up of oil. Oily makeup will do the same and will increase further breakage. Another cause is oily hair. Many people keep their hair across the forehead which would spread the hair oils onto your skin causing more acne. This is why you might notice more spots on your forehead than other areas of your face. However, you might want to keep your hair across your forehead for a particular style so a few tips on treating oily hair would be recommended for you. Please check, ‘treating oily hair’
3) Eat less junk food!
Studies have shown that eating foods that contains a higher glycaemia index will allow the development of acne. These foods include soft drinks, white bread, fries, burgers and other sources of junk food. On the other hand, healthy foods like fruits and vegetables, fish and pastas lead to a decrease in acne.
4) Other treatments!
There are two most common treatments for spots. These are Benzyl Peroxide and Salicylic Acid. The reason why Salicylic Acid is a good treatment for people with oily skin is because it sheds the skin cells at a faster rate. Hundreds of skin cells fall off of our skin every second which could get clogged up in our pores for more painful spots.
Can I pop my blister?
Most people don’t think it is a safe idea to pop your blister because it could damage your sebaceous glands though it only depends on how you deal with it first. Pooping your spot is not a bad idea at all and it does help getting rid of spots and whiteheads faster. To know more about popping your whitehead, please check ‘getting rid of whiteheads’.
