How to Impress Your Guests This Christmas

Diffrent decor ideas for the holidays

How to Impress Your Guests this Christmas

This factoid is seasonally inspired, with Christmas around the corner and families’ coming over for the holidays it is time to take out the festive decor. Christmas doesn’t have to be boring nor a lot of work. If you are looking for some inspiration this year on new and exciting ideas for your home you have come to the right factoid!

Chic Christmas

If you are one who is chic and you love the latest trend than these are my holiday decoration ideas for you. First of all you will want to start off with a nice bold colour for your table cloth, perhaps a red satin creates a nice contrast with white plates. If you want to go for a less traditional colour for this time of year, than I suggest a deep royal purple satin as your base tablecloth. A light gold napkin to go with this setting would also look wonderful and complement the base colour. Plates should always be white as they will always compliment your food, regardless of the colour scheme. You can use miniature glass handbags as your place markers, or little gifts for your guests. You can also add some loose glitter to your table which will really add character to your table setting. If you will be having a tree than I would suggest a deep green tree with peacock feathers as your main decoration, to this add ornaments of gold and purple to compliment your table setting.

Kids Christmas

This idea will be lots of fun for you and the kids. For this to work out well than you will be needing lots of toys of assorted sizes. First I will start off with the tree, which will work out really well with a deep green your ornaments will be toys. This doesn’t have to be a budget buster, just go through your child’s old toys and with a hot glue gun attach a loop. This is something that you can do together as a family on the weekend. After all the loops have been attached than hang the toys from the tree like ornaments, have fun with it and be playful. For the top of the tree you can use a doll dresses as an angel, or even a clown. You can have fun on your table setting too by having a toy train going around the table. This will surely be a memorable Christmas for your kids.

Animal Lovers Christmas

This is for all the animal lovers who adore their pets, or admire animals in general. As a cat lover myself you can decorate your tree with figurines of cats, remember you can use anything. What I mean by that is if you have a figurine of a cat add some hot glue to it and put it on your tree. If you are thinking to yourself, but what am I going to do with all of those figurines after Christmas is over you can hand them out as gifts on Christmas Eve. You can adapt this idea to any type of animal, or even animals. It is a great way to get creative this Christmas.

Holidays are a great time to connect with your family and have fun, be creative this year and test your imagination the sky is the limit.
