What is Water Therapy and How Does It Work?
Water Therapy is believed to be a health practice common in the Japanese and Indian culture.
It has some very promising effects on the health and mind. One of the reasons why I have incorporated Water Therapy in my life is because of its contribution to weight loss and some health benefits. Water is an essential nutrient in our body and without it our body won't be able to function very well. As a matter of fact, you will only survive for several days without water, water deprivation is a very deadly matter and you wouldn't want to neglect your body of this indispensable natural element!
Water Therapy is a very simple method and must be done consistently for results to be more discernible.
A person has to be really serious about becoming healthy and losing weight in order for the Water Therapy to work successfully because, if your mind is not in it, then it's best if you left this method alone. However, I do recommend that you at least try it out for yourself in order to experience the wonderful way that water cleanses your system all from drinking enough water.
How to do Water Therapy
As soon as you wake up in the morning, preferably 5-6 am, you should drink 1.5 liters of water ALL at once. This means you can drink it straight from a 1.5 liter bottle of water or which ever way is easier for you to down this much water, whether in cups or pitcher. No matter what shape of bottle or even if it's in a bowl. Just make sure that it equals up to 1.5 liters. If you're some what a bit overweight then you might want to add 8 more ounces of water to the 1.5 liters.
You may then wash your face and brush your teeth or just go about your normal daily activities. Just remember that you may drink your water before brushing your teeth, however if you'd rather brush first then I guess it's not all that bad, but it probably wont be as effective as it would be if you don't.
This is because there shouldn't be any other impurities entering your body prior or during your water therapy. Also it is HIGHLY recommended that Water Therapy is practiced on an empty stomach. So make sure you don't eat before you drink your 1.5 liters of water, and make sure you wait for breakfast at least 1 hour after your water therapy. Also it is important that there should be no alcohol consumption on the night before.
You may experience intermittent trips to the bathroom within an hour or so for both urinating and defecating. You may urinate more frequently within this period of time, and you might find it a lot easier to have a bowel movement. These are both ways the body uses to expel and get rid of all the toxins that have accumulated in your system overnight or (if it's the first time for WATER THERAPY) your whole life.
After about a week of implementing Water Therapy in your daily routine, the frequent trips to the restroom will have subsided, which is a sign that your body is now used to receiving enough water daily. Therefore your body won't have too much to clean if you're consistent with your water cleansing therapy. You will notice a few changes in your body or immediate results:
One would be every time water is consumed it will be easier for your body to absorb the nutrients provided into your system hence the use of bathroom is bounded after few minutes of drinking water.
Complexion of your skin, most people will notice it glowing including yourself!
No More constipation!
Helps protect immune system (I used to get the FLU very easily, with Water Therapy it protects my system from being so vulnerable to the virus) It's almost like an ANTI-VIRUS protection security system for your computer!

The concept of this procedure is drinking adequate amount of water to assist the body's internal cycle through its bodily functions. In other words, NOT ENOUGH water intake may slow down the life processes occurring within your body.
So think of it this way, you're building a house that may require a number of 50 employees, yet you only have 10 workers. So your house will probably take a long time to finish without enough numbers of people to do the job!
50 people will get the job done in 3 months, 10 people will get it done in a YEAR!
I hope that's a good analogy for the point I'm trying to get across.
If you're probably wondering why 1.5 liters of water is recommended, it is because it's known that the stomach's full capacity for liquids/ fluids is 1.5 liters. Overweight people may require a little more amount then 1.5 liters.
Once the water enters your body when initiating water therapy, it fills the stomach to its full capacity.
The water then gushes into the intestines, cleansing all its pathways. Some of the water & its nutrients are absorbed into the bloodstream for transport throughout your whole system, while other organs use up this fluid to complete its functions and keep its cycle.
The kidneys and Liver need enough water to continue filtering out soluble and insoluble toxins. These toxins are disposed of the body through urine, feces and sweat.
Are you wondering whether if this may lead to water intoxication or water poisoning? Well anything taken in excessive amounts is always a bad thing. I believe you will only put your health at risk if you exceeded 3 liters of water within an hour. Stick with consuming 1.5 liters of water in the morning and then throughout the day if you're still thirsty it's okay to drink, your body is screaming for it!
Also if you have a special health condition, you may want to consult your physician first before trying Water Therapy!
This method has not been scientifically proven YET, however there are numerous of other health conditions reported that Water Therapy may have great positive impact on such as hypertension, diabetes, lethargic, gout, headaches, bloating, diarrhea, kidney disease, liver disease, jaundice, overweight, dry skin, heartburn and many other that I have not listed.
If you're curious about it, then try it. If you question the validity of this method then do more research on it! All I know is that it works for me and I will keep practicing it!
