Colorful fishes make aquarium looks beautiful and attractive. Aquarium with colorful fishes becomes more beautiful and more attractive if it contains colorful and uniquely-shaped fishes.
Guineafowl Puffer (Arothon meleagris)
It’s a ball! It’s a sponge! No it’s a fish. Pupperfish look unique and beautiful like the Guineafowl Puffer. You can find this uniquely-shaped fish in the Indian Ocean and Eastern Pacific. In order to ward off potential enemies, it can inflate its body by swallowing air or water. It can grow up to 50 cm in length and is becoming popular in the aquarium trade.
Banggai Cardinalfish (Pterapogon kauderni)
The Banggai Cardinalfish looks amazing and I would certainly want to have it for my tank. This small tropical fish is an attractive fish which is very popular in the aquarium trade.
It was named after the island where it exclusively reside – the Banggai Islands of Indonesia. This species is now highly threatened due to overfishing. This species is now extinct in the island of Limbo.
Longhorn Cowfish (Lactoria cornuta)
The Longhorn Cowfish is a colorful and uniquely-shaped fish of the Ostraciidi family. This boxfish is recognizable by its long horns that protrude from the front of its head like those of a cowl. This lovely fish is a resident of the Indo-Pacific region. It can reach a maximum length of 20 inches and is slowly becoming a popular aquarium pet.

It’s Pegasus! No, it’s a unicorn fish not horse. This is a Spotted Unicornfish, a uniquely-shaped fish that can be found in the Indian and Pacific oceans. It looks unusual for its single horn hence the common name unicorn.
White Spotted Puffer (Arothron hispidus)
Like other pufferfish, the beautiful White-spotted Puffer can inflate its body by swallowing air and water. This medium sized pufferfish has concentric contrasting white and dark grey lines that radiate around the eyes and pectoral fins. This pattern was the basis to its alternate name Stars and Stripes Puffer. It can grow up to 50 cm long and inhabits the Indo-Pacific region.
Dog-Faced Puffer (Arothron nigropunctatus)
Dogs are man’s best friend and you’d probably want to have an aquatic pet that resembles a dog. Then the Dog-Faced Puffer is a perfect choice. They can reach a length of up to 33 cm and they inhabit the reefs of Indian and Pacific oceans. If dogs have rabies, well, like most puffers, this puffer is highly poisonous, making it dangerous or even deadly to eat. It is more commonly known as Blackspotted Puffer or Blackspotted Toadfish.
Honeycomb Cowfish (Acanthostracion polygonius)
Another uniquely-shaped fish with horns like bull is the Honeycomb Cowfish. Aside from its horns, the Honeycomb Cowfish looks peculiar for its stout body but very slim tail.

This peculiar-looking marine creature that can grow up to 50 cm in length is used in Chinese medicine, and is captured at the surface with a hand net. Careful preparation should observe because it is a poisonous fish.

Map Puffer (Arothron mappa)
The Map Puffer is a unique-looking fish with oval shape body covered with small prickles. It lives in reefs throughout the Indo-Pacific region and grows up to65 cm in length. Its most notable feature is its black patter which can be considered map like in appearance. Beware because like most puffers, this fish is extremely poisonous to eat.
