Do you feel the urge to snack on cookies, sweets and chocolates every day? Can you not rest in peace without having a chocolate bar after a few several hours? There are more ways you may have had your sugar intake. It might not be in your knowledge but the chances are that you are addicted to sugar. The addiction of sugar means you cannot stop craving for the sweetness that sugar provides. However, consuming too much sugar puts your health is at risk.

What are the health risks?

Providing a full list of health risks from sugar would take a vast amount of time to write. Nevertheless, I have written down a few main health risks you are likely to suffer.

1) Getting Hyper!

Beware that you abstain sugary foods like chocolate from your children during moments when it would cause trouble. For instance, after breakfast or dinner because their school education also falls at risk. Sugar causes hyperactivity in children and prevents them concentrating from their regular standard. This will surely weaken their test levels and their learning.

2) Reduces HDL Cholesterol!

High Density Lipoprotein (HDL) cholesterol helps your body against heart disease and protects you heart. However, intaking a lot of sugar causes this cholesterol to fall low. Another threat regarding sugar is that while reducing HDL cholesterol, it boosts up LDL cholesterol (Low Density Lipoprotein) which increases heart disease. This type of cholesterol is known as ‘Bad’ cholesterol that attacks the heart instead of protecting it.

3) Reduces Defensive Cells

The responsibility of the white blood cells is very well known. They help fight against bacteria that flow through our blood which can cause colds, flu and other severe illnesses.

By eating too much sugar, the defensive cells will be reduced and will cause the bacteria to be victorious over the human body. This allows the illness to increase and live for a prolonged period of time.

4) Tooth Decay!

Adequately, we understand the effects of sugar on our health. Consuming too much chocolate can cause your teeth to erode and fall apart. Nevertheless, you will have to endure several long days of pain until you break the tooth from your gums. Eventually, you may have to break all your teeth and live your life with an empty mouth.
