Step 1

Determine if you are getting your menstrual cycle in a timely fashion, or as you usually have. A missed menstrual period is one of the first signs that you are indeed pregnant. However, you may miss a period and not be pregnant. If you find that you are not pregnant and are missing periods consult a doctor.

Step 2

Ask yourself, do I feel different? Are you sick in the stomach at times that you usually do not have an upset stomach? Do you think you are hungry, but when the food arrives you just no longer want to eat it? Do your breasts feel tender? Are you tired more often? Do you get dizzy? Are you constipated, do you have trouble going to the bathroom? Do you have morning sickness, do you feel like throwing up or do you throw up? Do you have headaches cause by the change in hormone levels? Things may begin to smell stronger when you are pregnant. These are all common signs of pregnancy symptoms.

Step 3

Go to the store, and purchase a home pregnancy test. If you want to be sure that the test is accurate follow the directions on the insert to a tee. If you have only been pregnant for a few days the pregnancy hormone in your system may not show up at all times during the day. The pregnancy hormone shows up best first thing in the morning in early pregnancy.
