Rikuzit for ADD and ADHD Israeli natural treatment for ADD Rikuzit English

Rikuzit is a natural treatment for ADD and Rikuzit-H is for ADHD, both these treatments are sold in Israel. Unfortunately the website is only in Hebrew and so to help out the English speakers here are some of the frequently asked questions about Rikuzit answered in English:

How does Rikuzit work?Rikuzit is based on Chinese medicine which uses plants and herbs and is one of the most effective forms of alternative medicine. The purpose of Rikuzit is not necessarily to get rid of, or ease the symptoms but to facilitate recovery and balance in the mind and body, to allow for a better quality of life. Each herbal remedy has unique qualities which affect various organs in the body in different ways. The Rikuzit formula regulates energy and affects the blood and body fluids, regulating the metabolism, the production of energy, immune system, hormones and nervous system, amino acids and fatty acids which are the building blocks of the brain and body. This brings balance to the bodily functions and peace of mind.

What is in Rikuzit?Rikuzit is a compound herbal preparation for the treatment of ADD (Rikuzit-H treats ADHD) and contains: Centella asiatica, Bacopa monnieri, Paeonia lactiflora, Matricaria recutita, Albizia julibrissin, Melissa officinalis, Euphrezia rostkoviana and Passiflora edulis. Rikuzit contains no artificial flavoring or preservatives.

How long after taking Rikuzit does it start to take effect? In most cases you will start to see changes after 4 – 8 weeks, if you take the formula regularly as per the instructions, without breaks in the treatment. However, there are cases where improvement can be seen after as little as 10 days and other cases where there is an improvement only after 3 months.

Has Rikuzit been proven to work? The effectiveness of Rikuzit and Rikuzit-H has been proven in clinical trials which were conducted within the Pediatric ADHD and Adaptation Clinic at Sheba Medical Center (Tel Hashomer, Israel). The trials were overseen by Doctor Miri Katz, a senior Clinical Pediatric Psychiatrist. During the trials there was a 70% rate of positive results. The clinical study appeared in the Journal of attention disorders.

Are there any side effects when using Rikuzit? No. The formula has been proven safe and effective.

Is it possible to take Rikuzit or Rikuzit-H simultaneously with other medicine? There is no problem in taking Rikuzit or Rikuzit-H together with other medicines. Although you should always consult with your doctor about taking any new medicine.

What about taking Ritalin together with Rikuzit? When should one stop taking the Ritalin, and how would one know when it is time?Because Ritalin is effective for 4 or 8 hours, depending on the dosage, it is possible to stop giving Ritalin on the weekends or holidays and see how the child behaves. In this way you will be able to tell when it is the right time to stop taking Ritalin all together. Some parents may prefer to continue with Ritalin at the same time as Rikuzit. Each case is unique and you should consult a doctor before taking your child off of Ritalin or any other medicine.

Is Rikuzit like Ritalin with some kids needing a higher dosage and others less? No, the dosage of Rikuzit remains the same for all.
