Reusing Your Factoids
Producing a good Factoid is a labor of love, and therefore it is natural for a Factoid writer to sooner or later get the idea of reusing the content that he publishes here. What are the pros and cons and what are the legal requirements?
Facoidz Policy: A good pieces of writing should be reused as many times as possible, both to pass on information as well as to bring in some additional revenue. Factoidz does not prevent you from doing so because every Factoid that you write is your property and the copyright remains with you. You have only given a right to Factoid to display it perpetually. However, they do have one stipulation: 6the article should be republished on other sites only AFTER it is published here.
AT present they do not stipulate how much time should elapse between you publishing it here and republishing on other sites. However, we need to be fair to them because they have invested money and manpower to offer us an outstanding publishing platform here. Thus I would advise that you give at least a gap of two weeks before you reuse the material. A gap of one month would be even better for both the parties.
Where To Republish: You cannot publish previously published material on many sites. For example, if you find a site similar to Factoid that publishes your content on a revenue-sharing arrangement with you, they will not accept content that is already there on the net. Such sites stipulate that you send them material that is unique and not published before. Perhaps a few of them might allow you to republish one essay after you send them five unpublished articles. Thus do not hope to republish all your Factoids on other similar sites.
You should never try to pass such content to them as though it is original. There are plenty of tools these days using which publishing companies can, and do, check if the content submitted to them is original or not. If you repeatedly submit old content to them claiming it to be new, they will eventually ban you. It is foolish to take such a risk. Do not be fooled by the software packages (called article spinners) that promise to take your original article and rearrange the sentences to make them a totally new article. You must realize that every good article or Factoid has a flow of thought where you move from introduction to conclusion.Such articles cannot be "spun" and in case your articles can be spun mechanically by a thoughtless software then they are probably not well written.
Since republishing Factoids on those sites is difficult that ask for original content, my suggestion is that you reuse them in two ways: the first is to launch your own blog. Since the Factoids that you write would fall into four to ten areas of your specialization, one or more personal blogs dedicated to those fields would be the ideal choice. I say this as a person who has been reusing content from net for almost ten years. If you reuse them on your own blogs, you can place advertisements on them and the whole revenue will go to you. A substantial income can be obtained in this way, if you are good at promoting your blogs.
The second is to submit them to "essay" or "content distribution" sites. Many of them will blindly accept anything that you submit, and each accepted Factoid can bring you one to two links to your blogs, but nothing more. The better content-redistribution sites do not accept matter that has been reused anyway. Thus the total gain that you will get is very little. What is more, if all what you get are links to your Website or blog, then it is better to have a blog of your own first.
Summary: Content reuse from your personal Factoids is a good idea, and I suggest that you should definitely reuse your Factoids and this is allowed by Factoids. However, give Factoidz a month to use the content before you reuse them. This would be your way way of saying thanks to them. The best way to reuse would be on your own blog or blogs, as it maximizes your second round of income. At times this income can even exceed what you get from Factoidz. The last method of reuse, and the least profitable, would be to submit them to content reuse Website. Do that only if you have no other option.
