Philippines' Highly Urbanized Cities Outside Metro Manila
Highly Urbanized Cities are cities with a minimum population of two hundred thousand inhabitants as certified by the National Statistics Office and with the latest annual income of at least Fifty Million Pesos (P50, 000,000.00) based on 1991 constant prices. At present, there are 33 highly urbanized cities in the country, 16 of them located in Metro Manila.
Here are the 17 highly urbanized cities in the Philippines outside of Metro Manila.
1.) Baguio City
Baguio City in Northern Luzon is the coolest city in the Philippines. It is nicknamed Summer Capital of the Philippines and City of Pines. This highly urbanized city was founded as a city in 1909.
