Ornof (ofloxacin) tablets
Active ingredients: Each coated Ornof tabs contain ornidazole 500 mg and ofloxacin 200 mg.
Mechanism of action
Ofloxacin is from the group of fluoroquinolone which stops bacterial topoisomerase IV as well as DNA gyrase enzymes needed for DNA reproduction, repair, transcription and recombination. Ofloxacin works against a broad variety of gram-positive and gram-negative microorganisms.
Absorption: quickly and well absorbed from the Gastro- Intestinal tract (oral); maximum plasma concentrations after 30 minutes – two hours.
Ornof tabs might be used with or without food. (Keep away from antacids or other drugs with Fe or Zinc within two hours prior to or after administering Ornof ().Please administer plenty of water. )
Allergic reaction to quinolones; pregnancy as well as lactation; persistence of the QT break; unadministered hypokalaemia.

Ornof side effects

Stop using if neurological, psychiatric, or allergic reactions take place.

Probenecid reduces drug discharge. Antacids may decrease absorption of ofloxacin (ornof tablets), do not use antacids two hour before or after using Ornof tabs. Cimetidine possibly might boost ofloxacin concentrations. Observe blood glucose in subjects on anti diabetic drug administration.
Potentially Fatal: Corticosteroids can amplify danger of tendon rupture. Amplifies actions of ciclosporin, oral anticoagulants, and theophylline. Amplified danger of spasms with NSAIDs.
