The Monument offered by Central Luzon State University (CLSU) in Science City of Muñoz, Nueva Ecija for Jose P. The monument of Rizal in CLSU was constructed in 1951 through the contributions of grauating students of the laboratory high school of Central Luzon State College (CLAC). the project was spearheaded by Guillermo W. Salamat, a teacher, and the class president Joaquin Reyes. The students were also responsible for the design of the monument. based on the marker located on its pedestal, the project was started in 1950 and was finished in 1952. The monument is 15 ft in height while the statue itself is 4.7 ft tall. The student actually intended that Rizal should be in Barong Tagalog as a symbol of their great nationalism and in appreciation of his heroism of Rizal.

It was also imbedded in the monument that CLSU is truly an agricultural institution. The right hand of Rizal which is raised in the air shows to the masses the ricefield. On his knee and back, two doves are depicted which symbolized that the hope of the nation lies on agriculture. On his left hand, Rizal is holding "salakot" made of gourd. The monument is a mirror of the alumni of CLSU's great desire and feeling that agriculture is indeed an important art of the society just like Rizal who is a mirror of wisdom, youth and nationalism.

in 1962, after Rizal's centennial birthdat in 1961, Jose Rizal National Centennial Commission published a huge pictorial album about Rizal, the Pictorial Album on Rizal: Album Pictorico Sobre Rizal. Here, the monument of Rizal in Barong in CLSU was included in recognition of its uniqueness.

in 2005, the CLSU High School Class '64 through the initiative of their president, Pedro L. Bacani and Reynaldo A. Peralta, a fund was allotted for the rehabilitation and beautification of the monument and its surrounding. It is now known as CLSU Rizal Park. it is located in front of the University Canteen and located near the CLSU Auditorium. Celebrations and important affairs in the university areusually held in the park such as National Heroes Day every August 30 and Rizal Day every December 30. It has also became a tradition for Reserved Officers Training Corps (ROTC) to serve as honor guards in the said monument during such ocassions.

It is very common amongst Rizal's life-size monuments located fro the different parts of the world to see him wearing a black overcoat with a book on his hands. The inspiration of this monument is Motto Stella (Bituing Gabay) or Monument of Rizal in Luneta, Manila which was designed by the Swiss sculptor Richard Kissling.

Monumento Ni Rizal Na Nakabarong
