Active ingredients- Choline salicylate
Choline salicylate is administered to alleviate pain from a wide range of health conditions. It also eases swelling, pain, and joint severity from arthritis. This medication is branded as a NSAID (non steroidal anti-inflammatory drug).
Choline salicylate eases pain by reticence of prostaglandin production and decreases fever by working on the action of hypothalamus heat controlling center. Dologel (Choline salicylate) also obstructs the production of impulses.
Onset: one to two hour.

Choline Salicylate Adverse Reactions
Dologel Side Effects
Fatigue, GI disorders, allergic reactions,haemolytic anaemia, skin eruptions, dyspnoea, weakness; local pain (rectally); Reye's syndrome.
Potentially Fatal: hepatotoxicity; Paroxysmal bronchospasm;renal injury; iron-deficiency anemia, thrombocytopenia, leucopenia, occult blood loss; placid persistent salicylate intoxication.
In case any of these side effects occur or become persistant and bothersome, stop using Dologel immediately and consult a doctor.

Erosive gastritis, peptic ulcers; allergic disorders, asthma; renal impairment and hepatic injury; dehydrated patients; hysterical hypertension; aged.
Other Drug Interactions
• Amplified toxicity of warfarin.
• Using concurrently with antacids may decrease Dologel (Choline salicylate) effects.
• Amplified threat of GI blood loss when administered with corticosteroids.
Adult: 4.8 to 7.2 g every day in separated dosage.
Adult: Use 8.7 percent Dologel gel on infected area.

Hemophilia, gout, hemorrhagic problems, history of allergic reaction to Dologel (Choline salicylate). Acute renal impairment or hepatic injury; children less than 12 years of age. Pregnancy as well as lactation.
Obstruct with thyroid function trial.

• Avoid Dologel if you are allergic to any of its active ingredients. Inform your doctor if you have suffered from any history of allergic reaction to Choline salicylate in the past.
