Chlorella and spirulina helps protect the body from radiation exposure. Chlorella and spirulina have many health benefits.

A nuclear emergency that causes exposure to radiation, or radiation from TSA scans, or medical and dental x-rays will have some effect on the body. The thyroid gland is the most vulnerable area of the body during radiation exposure and ultimately is adversely affected.

There are thousands of scientific references and medical studies proving that radiation and radioactivity can seriously cause harm a person, and in particular the thyroid gland. Despite the millions of dollars spent by governments to study radiation; virtually nothing is spent promoting how to detoxify from radiation exposure.

Chlorella and Spirulina Aids in Eliminating Radiation Sickness

At the time of the atomic bombing of Japan, Dr. Tatsuichiro Akizuki was Director of the Department of Internal Medicine at St. Francis Hospital in Nagasaki. He ensured his staff and patients all got a strict diet of brown rice, miso, wakame, kombu, seaweed and spirulina. Sugar and other sweets were strictly prohibited as they suppress the immune system. Due to a diet rich is sea vegetables, he saved everyone at the hospital from suffering radiation sickness. (Tatsuichiro Akuziki, M.D., Nagasaki 1945. London Quarter Books, 1981.)

Spirulina saved children from radiation sickness after the nuclear meltdown in Chernobyl. Over 160,000 children and 146,000 clean up workers became victims of radiation sickness. A British company, Earthrise UK, sent shipments of spirulina tablets and powder to medical clinics in Belarus to treat children suffering from radiation sickness. By taking 5 grams of spirulina daily, in 45 days the Institute of Radiation Medicine in Minsk, Belarus, found that the children showed strengthened immune systems and T-cell counts and reduced radioactivity.

In particular, spirulina reduced urine radioactivity levels by 50% in twenty days. Even when some children suffered advanced levels of radiation sickness, spirulina was responsible for many areas of health restoration. Based on the Institute of Radiation Medicine in Minsk, the Belarus Ministry of Health concluded that spirulina accelerates the evacuation of radionuclides from the human body.

Chlorella is the most researched algae in the world and there are countless studies that show chlorella has a radio-protective effect to gamma-ray induced chromosomal damage. Although there are numerous nutrient benefits in chlorella, it has the highest concentration of chlorophyll content than other well-known superfoods. According to information provided in the book, “How to Support the Body’s Healing after Intense Radioactive or Radiation Exposure,” chlorophyll-rich diets increased the survival rate of experimental animals after given lethal doses of radiation.

Chlorella is a single-celled freshwater (green) alga that has countless health benefits but is particularly renowned for its detoxifying qualities, immune system support, cell repair, and cell rejuvenation. This alga is nature’s richest whole plant source of chlorophyll, DNA and RNA, and contains at least 19 amino acids, including all the essential ones. Chlorella also contains the chlorella growth factor (CGF) which helps its own cells to rapidly reproduce (four new cells every 20-24 hours).

Spirulina is microscopic blue - green alga that flourishes in fresh water lakes in warmer climates. Considered to be the most concentrated plant food in existence, it is a natural whole food that aids in maintaining a balanced diet. Spirulina is a whole plant source of gamma linolenic acid (GLA), beta-carotene and chlorophyll and contains all the essential amino acids, including essential fatty acids. Spirulina is 60% to 70% complete protein that is 95% digestible allowing immediate absorption of its many rich nutrients.

Chlorella and spirulina when taken together on a daily basis provide nature's richest whole plant source of chlorophyll, DNA, RNA, gamma linolenic acid (GLA) and beta-carotene. Although both are different forms of fresh water algae they have complementary, health benefits. Spirulina and chlorella exhibit strong healing and regenerating capabilities. They are filled with beneficial vitamins, minerals, proteins and fats which work together in a synergistic way to provide energy and vitality.
