Care.com Review: Is Care.com Worth the $12 Subscription?
I just signed up for Care.com since I really needed to hire a sitter and my regular sitter was sick. Wow, is this site useful! I wish I had heard about this before. At around $12 per month (that's if you subscribe for one year), the site is a bargain, considering how much time it takes to find a good quality sitter. I'm pretty picky when it comes to new sitters and unless there's a close personal recommendation there I won't hire one. However, of the three sitters I've hired through Care.com I'm fairly impressed. Good quality, professional sitters who were on time and really cared about doing a good job and keeping good standing with me.
The biggest timesaver was being able to shuffle through 30 or 40 well-qualified sitters on the site, seeing clear photos of them (that's important to me) and reading detailed customer reviews. Only takes minutes, where interviewing even just 3 or 4 sitters yourself can take all day.

Good for emergencies
I've been stuck with a sick sitter too many times. Care.com has a good feature which will find you a last-minute sitter who has been vetted by the community and has tenure who can fill in for a last minute appointment. Not the ideal situation, but better than being stuck in a jam.
Well-mannered, professional sitters so far
So far so good. All the sitters we've met in person have been well-presented, clean and professional. Better than Craigslist interviews for sure!
Care.com has questionnaires on their website that helps you find exactly the type of sitter and or help you are looking for.
At $12 per month, you save a lot of time and headache, so its worth it. I save time and have less stress thinking about managing sitters, just outsource it to Care.com. I recommend going for the annual option, its much cheaper than the monthly.
