We checked out http://www.gifttree.com; http://www.giftbaskets.com; http://www.gourmetgiftbaskets.com. All of which had lovely gift baskets as well, but, when it comes to value, Stew Leonard's had better prices, sorry guys.
We went ahead and took a look at a gift for the health nut in our family. Mind you this person is always hard to buy for and what a better way to let them know that we care. We decided to send them a great big basket of fresh fruit. YUM! Well, okay, we can admit it, we would rather be the couch potato and down a big bowl of popcorn, but hey, this wasn't for us.
All the baskets looked lovely, however, when you got a closer look at the baskets, most were stuffed with a lot of papershavings. Stew Leonard's, appeared to have more fresh fruit in the basket than the others. Sorry you 3 how about more bang for our buck!
Prices, well, they were all pretty close, the basket chosen at Stew Leonard's was $49.99, with the shipping, it was close to $60.00 but, we wanted to get that gift to our friend quick! (Psst, we almost forgot their birthday).
The other sites, well, at Gourmet Gift Baskets, it was $49.99 as well, but it didn't look like it was as much fruit, with the shipping charges, it was closer to $90.00 to get it there.
At Gift Tree, $58.95, with the shipping charges another $90.00. Gift Baskets was a little closer with their basket at $68.99 however with shipping it was still $75.00. Stew Leonard's won out.
If you are a thrifty shopper don't forget to consider the cost of shipping, this can add up a lot on a gift that you are getting!
Stew Leonard's is a great place to shop when you don't have the time to make a yummy gift to send to your special loved one.
