What Is The Proper Method To Connect Low Voltage Landscape Llights When Running Them In A Loop?

Hello... I am installing low voltage RGB LED lights using 16 awg 4 wire cable. Some of these lights will be close to 100 foot from the transformer. I am considering running these in a loop to eliminate any voltage drop problems. I understand that the proper connections need to be made at the transformer for both ends of the loop or i will short the circuit. How do I wire in each individual light in the loop? Do I run the big loop, then simply cut the wire and splice in the fixture and the other part of the loop that continues the run? In each connector then there would be 3 wires, 1 from each end of the loop I cut, and 1 going to the fixture. Also, I understand that the wattage and distance could reduce the appearance of the light over the distance. Being that the LED's consume only 3 watts, is this as much of a concern as when running more traditional 12 or 13 watt bulbs? I plan to have the farther circuits with only 4 fixtures, and the closer circuits with 6, and a circuit with 8 right next to the transformer. I do have the proper transformer for this design (300 watt 12,500mA). Altogether the entire design would be using 66 watts and 5,500mA. Ideally, If I could run one big loop with all or most of the fixtures being fed from that loop it would be easiest. Otherwise I can loop the closest areas, and then lollipop the others with a homerun going down to a junction box in that area. Thank you!
