What are the opportunities available online for stay at home Moms?

A large chunk of these turn out to mere scams while many of them profess to make millionaires in paid opportunities. Are the free to join opportunities genuine in paying money? Thanks in advance for the reply.

For an average internet user, the only probable way to find whether a site is a scam or not, is by experience (or maybe from others' experience). All aspects of online-earning, whether it is articles or surveys, have their share of scams.
Just by viewing a site, it is very difficult to judge whether a site is a scam or not. I personally suggest (even i do the same) that you google your query (for example, 'Free Paid Surveys' or 'Paid Freelance Writing' or something) and refine the results. When you have shortlisted a few sites, check the reviews of each site (It must have at-least 10 or more good reviews and recommendations). For additional safety, google something like 'Scam ____________' or 'Fake ____________', just to check.

To answer the first part of your question, I recommend free-lance writing (which you are already doing!), but simultaneously, another EXCELLENT option open to you would be surveys.
Though, unlike freelance writing, surveys only give you a single, fixed pay-out, your post neither has to be extremely detailed (unlike articles which require at-least 400 words) nor does it have to par professional levels of writing! Also, you will receive the pay-out whether or not your evaluation is considered or not, or for that matter, even VIEWED OR NOT! This is the major advantage of surveys over freelancing.

A few survey sites you could consider would be:
www.paidsurveysonline.com/ and www.surveyclub.com/

NOTE: Do not try www.awsurveys.com, since it has been found to be a scam, which simply does not give your pay-out even after years of hard-work!

Well if you've tried them all, I'd also like to suggest http://www.magicaldimension.com/freemoneyonline.html where we're giving money away to surfers of our site on a regular basis. All you do is surf the site for an answer to one question and that's it! You qualify to be chosen for free money weekly.

Don't overlook selling gently used children's books, toys and clothing through a free blujay store. I sold a lot on that site, and there are no user fees. I was able to get new things for my daughter by selling off her old, unwanted things. A blujay store is simple to set up and listing an item is a breeze.

Being literate,it is worthwhile to try the following;
1)Set up a blog and build your network for your regular postings,
2)Write articles in genuine writing sites like Factoidz,Triond,Experts column,Text Broker,Helium etc
3)Utilize genuine data entry sites
4)Take on line survey in the genuine sites.
5)Read e-mails(there are genuine sites too)
6)There are exclusive sites meant for women and they have plenty of opportunities for you.
7)If possible become an affiliate of any genuine product, especially related to women.
Opportunities are in aplenty. But you must be selective according to your optitude, will and wish.

I enjoy taking surveys as a way to earn additional income. Ipsos i-Say is one survey company with free membership and fun surveys that add up to dollars monthly. Here is a review of the website: http://factoidz.com/isaycom-review-and-promo-coupon-code-2/

Another idea is to start a dropshipping business, where you purchase a product online at wholesale price and make profit by selling the product (online) at a higher price (no need to store inventory). Of course, like any other online business, you just have to make sure not to fall for scams in the industry. I wrote a review of one of the well-known dropship services here: http://entrepreneurship-startups.knoji.com/dropship-services-review-dropship-design/

There are a lot of legitimate opportunities out there. The most important thing to realize is that some jobs may work well for some people and not for others.
