Is It Better To Have A Denture Or An Implant?

If you're having a single front tooth extracted, do you think it wise to have an implant, or a denture in its place?

I'm going through the implant process now, it's taking 8-9 months. The tooth was extracted in September and a bone graft put in. Things are looking good, we're planning on the second step early February. Then wait again about 4 months to get the final cap. If you have an implant, consider using invisalign braces while you're waiting through the process - I have a set with a very natural tooth embedded in it. That way you will still look good while waiting for the implant. The invisalign also keeps your teeth from moving because of the gap. You have to take out out to eat, otherwise wear it 24 x 7. Implant's are expensive! If cost is an issue look into local dental schools for discounts.

It is better to have an implanted tooth than a denture for the following pros and cons:

Pros:

1)You will have a permanent tooth that will look natural.

2)It will easily fit in and work with other teeth.

3)You can clean your implanted tooth along with other natural teeth routinely without needing any extra effort..

4)You need not remove it quite often so as to clean it.

5)A denture will invariably have a supporting device that will be a foreign object  and it will take time for you to get to used to it.

6)You can very easily get used to your implanted teeth within a few hours of implantation.

Cons:

1)An implanted tooth will certainly be costly than the denture in terms of material and fees etc.

2)It will take longer duration to implant a teeth than a denture.

Being a person with a full set of teeth, I don't have much self experience with this, but my parents say that implants feel natural and are great for chewing but if something goes wrong with the tooth, then it hurts the nerve that's connected to the tooth. Plus they are quite pricey. Overall I believe implants are better, if you have the money.

Smiles reflects your natural beauty of your face and your teeth give a standard to your smile. So ii is better to take the treatment after which your teeth won't look artificial. so from my personal experience I suggest for implants because it is natural. You may go through this link www.dentalcareantalya.com/and get ypur you implants at lower price.

You may need an xray to ensure you have the required depth of bone.  If you are older this may not be the case.  A small denture for one tooth would not be difficult to adjust to.

dental implants are actually better, but they can be quite expensive. fixed partial dentures, specifically an anterior bridge would be a good alternative. :)
