EducationLosing Weight Easily - Without Dieting!
You want to lose weight and gain back your old figure. Problem is, eating is indeed, a hard habit to break. With all the commercial diet programs that’s being promoted and patronized by many people nowadays, you may be already starting to think that there’s no way you can lose those extra pounds without sacrificing a meal or two, or quitting on munching that favorite snack of yours. You need not worry too much though. There are actually ways that could help you shed off pounds without much difficulty on your part.
Eat breakfast everyday. Make it a point that you eat breakfast at home before you go to work or anywhere else, instead of eating at the office or grabbing a meal from the drive thru. Studies show that a balanced morning meal keeps hunger at bay. It also keeps blood-sugar stable so you minimize the tendency of being an impulsive eater when lunch time comes. Opt for a breakfast that is composed mostly of carbohydrates and protein with some fats. Get something satisfying for your taste buds that are at the same time wise and healthy such as egg whites with whole-wheat bread (instead of white bread).
Sculpt Lightly. Doing at least five minutes of basic lunges, push-ups and squats (give 30-secong intervals for each) helps make and retain muscle mass. The more muscle you pack, the faster and higher your metabolism will be. With this, you’ll burn more calories as you do your day to day activities.
Be friends with the scale. This means bonding with the weighing scale daily if you could. Tally your everyday weight to check if you’re staying at your regular weight. If things go out of your control and you notice that your weight increases several days in a row, have a reality check. This could be a sign that you need to cut back a little.
Manage your environment well. Arrange the world around you to your advantage. Stock your fridge, pantry and workstation drawers with healthy options. Be cautious in which restaurants you would enter. As much as you could, avoid eat-all-you-can promos. If you can’t really hold things in your hands, such as when you’re invited to a party, get a healthy snack before you go so you wouldn’t be too hungry to be tempted to pack on the evil calories.
Let yourself be distracted. Once cravings strike, reach for your cell to chat with a friend, play with your pet, log in to your Facebook account or just do anything that would take your attention away from imagining that mouth-watering pizza or melt in your mouth ice cream. Experts say that cravings actually last for only five minutes so by the time you’re done updating your FB status, the urge has already subsided.
